Prayer Group: Pray for Our Community - 2/2/12, 7:00 PM

Our community needs prayer.  We need to pray for our community.

Our neighbors are suffering.  Homes have been lost, jobs are scarce, abuse, neglect and pornography abound.  To whom will we turn?

"Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,
that the mountains would tremble before you!"

Isaiah 64:1

Our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us.  His words to the children of Abraham are true for his people today:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Let us come together to pray that God rend the Heavens, that the earth tremble before him, and that we grow in Fear, Knowledge, and Love of our Lord and Savior and that we act in His name for our community.

We will be meeting at the Southeast Christian Church Indiana Campus in the lobby area (to the right as you enter the building) on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 7:00pm.  This will be an open opportunity to gather and pray together as men and individually as children of the Most High God for our families and community.

Please join us.

God is great!

Get up.

There's plenty to be done.

How intentional are you about your relationship with Jesus?

How should we respond to God's forgiveness?

Too often, we respond with relief but not action.

Too often we think a call to God's ministry means African slums or mosquito nets.

There is plenty to be done around you. You aren't going to do it alone.

Join the community and begin to do the work He is calling you to do.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

James 1:27
